Red Leader - Stay on Target! January 8, 2009 This is a great helicopter for the money, takes a bit of mastering and you need a bit space. I've mastered mine by taking it to work and flying it around the office - once in the air it gives a nice breeze to cool your colleagues ;-) so they can't complain.
Take it outside when there is no wind and it's even more fun, don't know how high it would go because I chickened out when it went above the house. Looks good with the flashing LED's at night. Recommended...
As for the combat readiness of the unit I can report that after a couple of attacks by the cat it has yet to receive any serious damage.
Overall a great item and great fun to annoy the pets with.
Silverlit PicooZ helicopter January 8, 2009 Bought this for my son at Christmas as a novelty gift on the basis that for under 15 if it lasted for a couple of days we would probably have got our moneys worth. Well, we certainly did - it was amazing watching it fly around and hover complete with flashing navigation beacon. Despite that its only two channel, with a little practice you can make it fly pretty much where you want it to go. It also turned out to be surprisingly robust and survived intact, multiple crash landings and collisions with ceilings, walls, light fittings and furniture.
It only met its demise early in the new year when it collided with a fire guard which undoubtedly saved it from complete cremation, but it was not retrived quickly enough to avoid heat damage to both rotors. Not sure whether I'll try and buy replacement rotors (spare rear rotor already included) or just go ahead and buy another PicooZ but either way we will fly again!!
SILVERLIT HELICOPTER December 31, 2008 EXCELLENT LITTLE TOY - I BOUGHT TWO OF THESE ONE MY 25 YEAR OLD SON & ONE FOR MY TEENAGE NEPHEW - HOURS OF ENTERTAINMENT WERE ENJOYED BY BOTH OF THEM. LITTLE TOYS FOR BIG BOYS!
Fun for a 13 year old December 28, 2008 I bought this as a Christmas present for my 13 year old nephew. Not one to read instructions first, it took him about 4 goes to make it take off!! Older brother (21) couldn't wait to have a go and the rest of the family followed. Not sure about durability as haven't had it long enough. One small grump, Couldn't find anywhere where it states that 6 AA batteries are needed. Luckily we had some around. Highly recommended.
Amazing December 27, 2008 This toy really s great fun. While some say it only goes left e.t.c you can 'trim' it to get rid of the problem. By turning clockwise or anticolockwise you can increase or decrease the speed. Not only that, but it is so durable that I had to step on it (by mistake) to break it; and that only broke the tail stick thing (not propellor) which meant that it just flies in circles. A really freat buy!
