I purchased this hifi to play music and radio in our small living space. Unfortunately the radio reception is not brilliant and yes it is not DAB, so if like me you find yourself listening to 6Music or another digital station - then this hifi radio becomes semi-redundant. Alas after a year or so of owning the CD has now failed big time and has scratched several CDs. The quality was always far from brilliant but suited the budget, but now with the CD dying (and also it was always very noisy - the actual motor of it) then I would definitely advise against choosing this system. The speakers were a nice quality, but I would suggest buy a more up to date model and if you can spend that extra for DAB. Surprisingly disappointing Sony.

The sound is good and the instructions simple to follow, CD is a bit noisy while loading, other than that all works as described

We bought this system from Argos in 2008, the radio gives high quality sound but the CD unit has broken down which is surprising for this make, I would have expected it from one of the cheaper brands but not Sony and, the repairman has said the same,
I would advise anyone buying this system to take out extended warranty and I certainly would not trust this product again.

Neat and attractive looking. Great sound quality for a very reasonable price. Cassette deck a bit surplus to requirements these days!

This Sony mini hifi was a Christmas present for our 9 year old daughter. She loves it! Easy to assemble, the sound quality is good. The product is very good value.
