This camera has proved to be even better than I expected. The underwater stills are difficult only because of the motion of the waves and currents; the camera's underwater video abilities are outstanding...the camera saw more than I did. The 16 GB memory chip is endless...10 days in the Galapagos and 11 days touring national parks in the US (3288 images and videos), and I still have memory available. The zoom ability allows great telephotos shots. Unlike some video cameras, it is easy to "right" vertical and horizontal videos. The only drawback that I have observed is that the battery is exhausted relatively quickly compared to my other digital cameras. The deluxe kit does come with a second battery which somewhat mitigates this problem. Another accessory included in the kit is a flash drive that can accommodate the memory chip. I was not aware that something like this existed; I love it. Transferring my pictures to the computer is easier than ever. Plus, Amazon mailed it to me in record time.
