Digital Blue American Idol Digital Camcorder - 510 November 11, 2007 A. Do The camera works great. My daughter really enjoyed it. The one complaint I have is there is no easy way to contact their tech support for assistance because the CD that came with it does not install the driver fort he camcorder correctly. Luckily my daughter had a friend who purchased this same camcorder about 8 months prior and the CD that came with it had an earlier software version and driver and we were able to complete the installation.
Digital Idol camcorder September 6, 2007 Pokemom (Minneapolis) This is a fun gadget for the kids. However, it did not come with any instructions. If my boys (ages 9 and 12) hadn't used the device at the science museum movie camp this summer we never would have figured out how to use it. (Plus my husband is a software developer. That helped too).
The boys made stop-gap animation movies using their matchbox cars. The quality is decent for what we paid for it.
Item was never shipped because it was unanavailable, but billed to my account January 20, 2006 Pamela A. Mcnab 8 out of 14 found this review helpful
I ordered this item on 12-16-2005. I was informed by Alhambrabooks on 12-21-2005 that this item was unavailable, would not be shipped and that my account would be credited. To date, 1-20-2006, a month later, the charge remains on my account and has not been credited as promised. This does not seem like a very good business practice. Please credit my account immediately for an item that was never shipped from this source.
Its is the same thing January 8, 2006 TARTAN (NEW ENGLAND) 5 out of 13 found this review helpful
The Amercian Idol video maker is the same thing as digital blue only with different software and a microphone. And since it is made by the same company as Digital Blue, how could that be unlawful. It is a brilliant marketing scheme from the manufacturer to sell all the leftover models from last year with a new logo and and additional features, that make kids ask for it for xmas.

Heyy,
I haven't bought this toy yet but it looks pretty kool.
I was wondering if you could just make plain old movies and forget the singing all together? Because i dn't think they sell the regualr digital blues anymore.
